My daughter Grace’s Kindergarten class had so much fun this year with a series of books written by Jeff Brown based on the character "Flat Stanley." In the book, Stanley is flattened by a falling bulletin board. One of the many advantages is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends by traveling in an envelope.
In 1995, Dale Hubert, a Grade 3 teacher in London, Ontario, Canada, began the Flat Stanley Project. He invited other teachers to take part by hosting flat visitors and to encourage their students to write their own Flat Stanley journals. It’s become a great way for kids to learn geography and use their imagination to create wonderful stories about “Flat Stanley’s” adventures.
So it’s with a nod to "Flat Stanley" that we introduce you to "Flat Cliff."
Print out "Flat Cliff" and take him with you on your summer adventures.
Snap shots of "Flat Cliff" on your family trip to the beach, your trip to camp, at the ball game!
Have fun, enjoy your summer, and bring "Flat Cliff" with you!
Send your photos to Tori@kson.com and we’ll post the best shots on our website.
You’ll have a chance to win weekly prizes and qualify for the grand prize: A Flat Screen TV, a Nikon D40 DSLR Camera from Ritz Camera, tickets for the family to Disneyland® Park and a $100 gas card to get you there and back!
